Lesser noticed beauty

The lesser photographed, but still beautiful, peahen!

Most people looking at this female bird see dull brown colours, hardly ever bothering to photograph or take much notice of them  compared to the extravagant males. There were two of these lil beauties walking close to the large, colourful male from my earlier post “Monocromatic Showoff”.

I admit myself that the male attracted my camera lens’ attention before the female did, but after taking several shots of the male I turned my attention on the beautiful green tones on the female. I thought the browns and greens of the peahen’s plumage were underratedly stunning! And I dedicate this post to helping the often over looked peahen show off her colours!
