Well, we’re coming to the end of it, the end of this rollercoaster ride of a year!
There’s much of my year I didn’t post here, some photos aren’t for blogs… but of the ones I did, here’s a little summary:
Starting with, a long over due visit to the Burren Birds of Prey Centre, Co. Clare. I miss this place a lot, it was so much fun to work/volunteer there.
Next came a fashion shoot with my friend Máire from Cork! I remember this was the same day as a successful internship interview. It was a great day…
During my time at Child Vision (the successful interview mentioned above) we had a promotional shoot for raising awareness with the Irish Equestrian Team.
Scouting Founder’s Day celebration at the Mansion House in Dublin saw the official launch of The Gathering with Scouting Ireland.
A very significant wedding!
Then of course the Venture Challenge training weekend in Malahide. Freezing but amazing fun 🙂
Then… Dublin Zoo!! I was so happy to be successful in my interview to become a Dublin Zoo volunteer. The zoo was so busy and bustling during the summer and was an amazing experience. An experience I’m still carrying out…
An end of college year exhibition. For my old classmates in Griffith College. Fantastic work, such a talented bunch of people!
I photographed for my friend Kate who was trying for the Dublin Rose, for the Dublin Rose of Tralee competition. We had a fantastic evening with all the RNLI lifeboat volunteers in Howth.
Of course, so many scouting events filled my summer! These are always amazing fun and you get to meet the best people!
Venture Challenge 2013, the non practise event! After the teams had walked their 80km on the road they completed the water challenge by sailing and kayaking on Lough Rea!
And it turned into a beautiful evening on the water:
My own scout troop’s visit to Austria. We had the most amazing view of the stars from our campsite:
The Sea Scout Sailing Regatta as part of Scouting Ireland and The Gathering, organised by the brilliant Kate and Colm from Malahide.
Not forgetting, the Scouting Ireland Phoenix Competition, the national camp craft competition for the organisation.
Featuring a visit from the Japanese interns visiting Ireland to speak about the World Scout Jamboree in Japan 2015
My trip to the Ukraine for the Internet Age Conference, featuring people from all over Europe discussing ideas for a week. Amazing fun….
Trizone – The venture and rover triathalon which this year took place at Killaloe in Co. Clare. Wet and wild!
The last bright light of the year as we had our final scout weekend of the year, the hostel weekend in Wicklow!
Not forgetting, the Christmas fair n Dublin, lights, food, fun fair rides, epic fun!
And last but not least, taken just a few days ago, a little winter robin hiding in the bare branches of the trees!
Onto the next year I say, and may it be even more excting 🙂
