Running Blind – Smock Alley

I was asked to photograph this stunning piece of theatre last week, and to do so I upped my camera game and borrowed a Canon 5D Mark III, a beautiful piece of kit! (Thanks to Conor for the loaner!)

The show was based on a blind person leaving the comfort of the environment they’re fimiliar with and going for a run. Laura’s dance interuptation was beautifully and artfully performed, along with the violin and drum musicians, creating a feast for the eyes and ears.

The audience was led into the Boy’s School stage in Smock Alley, blindly following a rope and following a violin player, before sitting on foil benches for the ultimate sensory experience.

Here’s some of my top picks!
